Soon, we may see two more foldable phones from Samsung
What's the story
Just a few weeks back, Samsung made major headlines by unveiling its $2,000 worth 'Galaxy Fold'.
The device comes with top-of-the-line specs and a large tablet-sized display that folds like a book.
And now, if a new report is anything to go by, the Galaxy Fold might be followed by two more foldable phones in the near future.
Here's what we know about them.

Samsung already working on two more foldables, sources claim
Speaking to internal sources familiar with Samsung's plans, Bloomberg has learned that the South Korean giant is working on two different foldable phones to take an early lead in the new hardware category.
One of the devices, according to the sources, would be a vertically-folding phone with a clamshell-like design, while the other would fold outwards, pretty much like Huawei's Mate X.
Device #1
Plus, one of them might be unveiled later this year
The sources claimed that the vertically folding device is planned for release in late 2019 or in early 2020.
They didn't reveal the exact capabilities of the phone but said Samsung is fine-tuning its design using mock-ups.
Plus, they also claimed the device carries a secondary external display which may or may not land on the final version.
Device #2
Prototype for outward folding device is ready
As for the second outward folding device, the sources claimed a prototype, which is way thinner than Galaxy Fold and has no extra screen, has already been developed.
They noted that this particular device was originally considered to debut instead of Galaxy Fold, but now it will show up following the launch of the vertically-folding device.
The exact timeline, however, still remains unclear.
Issue
Also, Samsung is working to remove Galaxy Fold's major flaw
While working on the new phones, Samsung is also trying to eliminate a major flaw of the Galaxy Fold - a crease that forms after some 10,000 folds of the device.
It doesn't affect the OLED panel of the phone but forms on the protective film sitting on top of it, which, we imagine, a person paying $2,000 won't really like.

Samsung considering screen replacements for Galaxy Fold
According to Bloomberg's sources, Samsung is working to resolve the issue, but as the promised release date of April 26 is not that far, it is also considering providing free screen replacements to customers. The company has not said anything about the flaw thus far.
