Samsung may launch its third-generation foldable smartphone, the Z Fold3 in July, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip2 model. In the latest development, the former has been spotted on China's 3C certification site, revealing its battery details. As per the listing, the device will have a dual-cell battery setup comprising a 2,215mAh and a 2,060mAh unit. Here are more details.
The device may sport AMOLED displays
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is likely to come with an inward folding design, a punch-hole cut-out, slim bezels, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and S Pen support. The handset is expected to bear a 7.5-inch AMOLED main display and a 6.2-inch secondary outer screen. It is also rumored to sport an under-display camera (UDC) on the main panel.
It will be equipped with a triple camera module
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 may pack a triple rear camera setup comprising a 12MP primary sensor, a 12MP secondary lens, and a 16MP tertiary shooter. For selfies, it might offer a 12MP snapper on the outer screen. It may also sport a 16MP selfie camera on the inner display if the company decides to go ahead with the UDC.
The handset will boot Android 11
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is likely to be fueled by a Snapdragon 865+ chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Under the hood, it will run on Android 11 and shall be powered by a dual-cell battery setup (2,060mAh + 2,215mAh) with 25W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the device should offer support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and a Type-C port.
