Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim's launch delayed until May
What's the story
Samsung is scheduled to host its Unpacked event on January 22, where the tech giant is expected to unveil four new devices.
These would include the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and a brand-new model called the Galaxy S25 Slim.
However, if rumors from China are to be believed, the launch of the latter has been pushed back to May. Samsung may reveal the handset next week but it won't go on sale anytime soon.
Design details
Galaxy S25 Slim: A blend of slimness and size
The Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be extremely thin at just 6.5mm. However, it will be larger than the Plus and smaller than the Ultra in terms of overall size.
The phone will sport a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution higher than 1080p and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
It will likely sport aluminum or titanium body with IP68-rated protection against dust and water.
Battery innovation
Galaxy S25 Slim to feature new silicon-carbon battery
The slim design of the Galaxy S25 Slim indicates it could be using a new silicon-carbon battery.
This battery is lighter but still provides a decent capacity, possibly around 5,000mAh.
However, these are just speculations and remain unconfirmed until Samsung's official announcement at the upcoming Unpacked event.
