Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra's 1TB storage variant launched in India
Samsung has introduced a new 1TB storage model of the Galaxy S22 Ultra in India. The flagship phone was so far available in 256GB and 512GB storage options. The 1TB variant is priced at Rs. 1,34,999 and will go on sale through Samsung Live platform on March 28 at 6pm. Buyers will also be able to purchase the Galaxy Watch4 at just Rs. 2,999.
Why does this story matter?
Samsung has been offering the 1TB storage variant of S22 Ultra in some regions but it was not launched in India when the S22 line-up was announced here in February. This disappointed Indian customers who wanted to buy the maxed-out variant. Finally, the 1TB storage model has been launched here. However, apart from the extra storage, it is exactly the same as other variants.
The handset features a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a punch-hole cut-out on the top-center, slim bezels, curved edges, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IP68-rated build quality, and stylus support. The handset bears a 6.8-inch QHD+ (1440x3200 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It is offered in Burgundy, Phantom Black, and Phantom White colors.
It boasts a 108MP main camera
The Galaxy S22 Ultra flaunts a quad rear camera module, comprising a 108MP primary sensor, a 10MP telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom, a 10MP telephoto snapper with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide shooter. Up front, it has a 40MP selfie camera.
It boots One UI 4.1 based on Android 12
The Galaxy S22 Ultra is fueled by an Exynos 2200/Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, mated with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of onboard storage. Under the hood, it boots Android 12-based One UI 4.1 and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless fast-charging support. The handset supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, and a Type-C port.
