Samsung Galaxy S21 FE receives first Android update in India
Samsung has started releasing a new software update for the recently-launched Galaxy S21 FE smartphone in India. According to the changelog, the firmware brings the latest January 2022 Android security patch, introduces enhanced features and performance improvements, fixes bugs, and improves overall stability. It also updates Samsung apps like Galaxy Wearable, Samsung Pay, and SmartThings, among others, to their latest versions.

The update improves the device's overall system stability as well as security by introducing the latest January security patch. According to Gadgets 360, the latest software update for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE carries version number G990EXXU1BUL5/G990EODM1BUL5/G990EXXU1BUL5 and has a download size of around 442MB. It is being released in a staged manner via the OTA method and hence not everyone will receive it just yet. To manually check for the firmware, you can go to Settings >Software update >Download and Install.
The phone offers IP68-rated dust and water resistance
As far as its specifications are concerned, the Galaxy S21 FE has a punch-hole cut-out, slim bezels, an IP68-rated build, and an under-display fingerprint sensor. It offers up to 30x digital zoom support
The Galaxy S21 FE is equipped with a triple rear camera setup comprising a 12MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 12MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto snapper with 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom support. On the front, it offers a 32MP (f/2.2) selfie camera. The front and rear cameras can film up to 4K videos at 60fps.
It is backed by an Exynos 2100 chipset
In India, the Galaxy S21 FE is fueled by an Exynos 2100 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It boots Android 12-based One UI 4.0 and houses a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W wired and 15W wireless fast-charging technology. For connectivity, the device offers support for Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, GPS, NFC, and a Type-C port.
