Samsung S20 series to get new color variants soon
If the latest Samsung flagship smartphones lack anything, it could perhaps be a dash of bright color. However, that may not be the case for long. According to leaks, Samsung is gearing to launch new color variants for its Galaxy S20 series, and we may see red, dark blue, and white color schemes to join the existing blue, black, and gray shades.
Some new S20 colors variants may remain country/region specific
According to the leaks, the new color schemes of the Galaxy S20/S20+ (not S20 Ultra?) are known as White, Positive Red, and Positive Blue. These shades are currently exclusive to South Korean operators but Samsung is likely to release them in international markets. That said, some of the new S20 color variants might be available in specific regions only, possibly with newer names.
In Europe, Positive Red could launch as Aura Red
Galaxy Buds+ could also get new color variants
Separately, a South Korean tipster going by the name it_information on Instagram has shared an image of red-colored Galaxy Buds+. Perhaps, Samsung could introduce new shades for its latest earbuds as well. For the uninitiated, the Buds+ were launched in Blue, Black, and White colors.
Meanwhile, here's recalling the Galaxy S20 series
The S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra come with 6.2-inch, 6.7-inch, and 6.9-inch screens, respectively, and support IP68-rated water resistance. All the models have a new Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED 2X punch-hole display, which offers a QHD (1440x3200 pixels) resolution, HDR10 support, and a high refresh rate of 120Hz (locked at 1080p). For secure biometric authentication, the handsets come with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Galaxy S20 Ultra packs a 108MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 48MP telephoto shooter with 100x Super Resolution zoom, and a DepthVision sensor. On the front, it has a 40MP camera. The S20 and S20+ get a similar setup but with a 12MP main sensor, and 64MP telephoto lens (S20 lacks a DepthVision camera). For selfies, both models offer a 10MP front-facing shooter.
Under the hood
The Galaxy S20 range comes with the flagship Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 chipset (depending on the region), coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The S20 Ultra, S20+, and S20 pack 5,000mAh, 4,500mAh, and 4,000mAh batteries, respectively, and support Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, reverse wireless charging, as well as up to 45W wired fast charging.
