Samsung Galaxy S20 series gets camera improvements via update
Samsung has started releasing a new software update for the Galaxy S20 series, which includes the S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra models. As per the changelog, the firmware improves the camera performance on the devices. It is also said to include device stability and performance improvements along with general bug fixes. The new firmware carries version number G98xxXXU7DUC7 and a download size of around 500MB. It is currently being rolled out in Germany and is expected to reach other markets soon. To manually check for the update, you can go to Settings >Software update.
The trio offers a 120Hz AMOLED display
As far as their specifications are concerned, the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra feature a punch-hole design, slim bezels, an IP68-rated build quality, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the rear, they offer up to four cameras. The smartphones bear a 6.2-inch, 6.7-inch, and 6.9-inch AMOLED screen, respectively, with a QHD+ (1440x3200 pixels) resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra sports a 40MP front camera
The S20 Ultra features a quad rear camera setup comprising a 108MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 48MP telephoto camera, and a ToF sensor. For selfies, it offers a 40MP snapper. The S20 and S20+ have a similar arrangement but with a 12MP main camera and a 64MP telephoto lens (no depth sensor on S20). Up front, they pack a 10MP camera.
The handsets run on an Exynos 990/Snapdragon 865 chipset
Samsung Galaxy S20 series is fueled by an Exynos 990/Snapdragon 865 chipset (depending on the market), combined with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra house 4,000mAh, 4,500mAh, and 5,000mAh batteries, respectively, with up to 45W wired fast-charging support. The handsets also support Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a Type-C port.
