Samsung announces attractive offers on S20, S20+
Samsung has announced a couple of attractive offers for its Galaxy S20 and S20+ smartphone, as it looks to counter the sliding demand of the newly-launched flagships. As part of the offers, buyers can get a cashback of Rs. 6,000, an additional upgrade bonus of Rs. 5,000, and even purchase the latest Galaxy Buds+ at a discounted price. Here are the finer details.
HDFC Bank card users can avail Rs. 6,000 cashback
According to Samsung, buyers can avail Rs. 6,000 cashback on the S20 and S20+ models purchased through HDFC Bank credit and debit cards. The offer will remain valid until March 31, and is applicable on both online as well as offline channels that accept payments through HDFC Bank cards. Separately, Airtel, Jio and Vodafone subscribers will be eligible for double data benefits.
There's also an upgrade bonus of up to Rs. 5,000
In addition to the aforementioned offer, Samsung is also giving an Upgrade Bonus of up to Rs. 5,000 that can be availed by exchanging an old smartphone. Notably, the bonus amount will be provided over and above the exchange value of the device. Buyers of S20 and S20+ will also be eligible to purchase Galaxy Buds+ worth Rs. 11,990 for just Rs. 3,999.
How much do they cost, anyway?
In India, the Galaxy S20 costs Rs. 66,999 while the Galaxy S20+ comes at Rs. 73,999 for the solo 128GB storage variant. The handsets come in Blue, Pink, Black, and Gray colors, depending on the country you are in and the combination you prefer.
Here's recalling the S20 and S20+
The Galaxy S20 and S20+ come with 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively, with IP68 rating, ultra-fine bezels, and slightly curved screen edges. Both models sport a new Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel which offers QHD (1440x3200 pixels) resolution, HDR10 support, and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. For secure biometric authentication, the handsets sport an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The S20 comes with a triple-lens rear camera including a 12MP main sensor, 64MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The S20+ also has the same sensors but with an additional DepthVision lens. The cameras on both the models support 8K video recording at 24fps. Meanwhile, on the front, the handsets have a 10MP selfie snapper housed in the punch-hole.

The S20 and S20+ are powered by the flagship Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 chipset (depending on the region), coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. Under the hood, the regular model packs a 4,000mAh battery while the Plus variant gets a bigger 4,500mAh battery. Lastly, both the handsets support 25W wired fast-charging, 15W wireless charging, and 9W reverse wireless charging.
