Galaxy S10 to get 25W fast-charging support via OTA update
One of the best Android smartphones till date, the Samsung Galaxy S10-series is set to get even better. According to a report, the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10e will get 25W fast charging support - a significant upgrade over the existing 15W charging. This much-appreciated feature is expected to arrive sometime next month via an over-the-air software update. Here's everything to know.
Update will also bring long-exposure camera mode on S10-series
Quan Guixian, Samsung's president of Greater China region, has reportedly announced at an event that "S10 series will be able to unlock 25W fast charge through OTA", possibly sometime in April. Notably, users will require a compatible 25W charger to enable this new fast charging support. Moreover, the update will also add a long-exposure camera mode and the ability to use NFC access cards.
Soon, S10-series will charge up faster than most flagships
Talking of fast charging technology, Huawei leads with its 55W SuperCharge technology on Mate X. Then there is OPPO's 50W SuperVOOC Flash Charge, Honor's 40W charging tech and OnePlus' 30W Warp Charge (OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition). Apple's latest flagships support 15W charging while Google's Pixel 3 phones support 18W charging. Hence, with 25W fast charging, S10-series will soon charge up faster than most flagships.
Meanwhile, here's recalling the Samsung Galaxy S10 series
