Samsung will unveil its Galaxy S10 flagships at the Unpacked event on February 20. So far, several leaks have suggested that the upcoming smartphones will feature an Infinity-O display, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and triple rear cameras. And now, 91Mobiles has leaked key details about the pricing and launch of Galaxy S10 models in India. Here's everything to know.
Samsung Galaxy S10 to launch in India on March 6
Citing a company distributor, 91Mobiles claimed that Samsung would launch Galaxy S10+, S10 and S10e (or S10 Lite) in India on March 6, with sales slated to start from March 15. The report noted that S10 lineup will start at Rs. 50,000 for the base-end S10 Lite model whereas the premium S10 and S10+ will be priced at Rs. 65,000 and Rs. 75,000, respectively.
Top-end S10+ model will be priced under Rs. 1 lakh
The report also claimed that "price difference between different variants of the same device in the series will be around Rs 4,000." This means, the top-end S10+, which is tipped to come with 1TB storage option, will be priced under Rs. 1,00,000.
Meanwhile, here's what to expect from Galaxy S10 variants
The Galaxy S10 and S10+ variants will feature 6.11-inch and 6.44-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O displays with curved edges, QHD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio, respectively. The S10 Lite will feature a flat 5.75-inch Infinity-O display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio, QHD resolution, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. In comparison, the premium S10 and S10+ models will pack an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Galaxy S10, S10+ to also sport triple rear-camera
The Galaxy S10 and S10+ variants will sport a triple rear-camera setup - something we've been hearing for a while. However, up front, the larger model will sport a dual-camera layout housed in a pill-shaped display hole whereas the standard S10 will get a single selfie snapper. Further, the S10 Lite variant will pack a dual rear-camera setup and a single front camera.
All Galaxy S10 variants to get Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9820
All Galaxy S10 models will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820 chipset (region dependent) and run Android Pie-based One UI. As per a recent leak, S10 Lite, S10, and S10+ will pack 3,000mAh, 3,300mAh, and 4,000mAh batteries, respectively. Moreover, S10 Lite is tipped to come in a solo 128GB storage option, S10 in 128GB/512GB models and S10+ in 128GB/512GB/1TB variants.
