Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite appears on Geekbench, key specs leaked
Over the last few weeks, some reports claimed that Samsung is working to launch Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy S10 Lite, the low-cost flagship phones. And now, we have some more details about the latter. The upcoming S10 Lite, with model number SM-G770F, has appeared on processor benchmarking platform Geekbench, revealing some key specifications of the handset. Here's our roundup.
What is Geekbench and Geekbench's scores?
Geekbench is a cross-platform processor benchmark platform which grades processors on their single-core and multi-core performances. While calculating multi-core scores, Geekbench runs multiple streams of instructions simultaneously per core and reports an aggregate score. With single-core scores, the same process is applied but on a single core. Notably, the quicker a CPU completes the instructions, the higher is its Geekbench score.
What does Galaxy S10 Lite's Geekbench listing tell us?
Now, according to the Geekbench listing, the S10 Lite will come with a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and Android 10 support. However, depending on the region, other variants may come with an Exynos processor, possibly the 9820. In terms of scores, the S10 Lite scored 742 in single-core tests and 2,604 in multi-core performance.
What else do we know about the Galaxy S10 Lite?
According to rumors, the Galaxy S10 Lite will feature an Infinity-U notched design with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display - similar to the upcoming Galaxy A91. The handset is also tipped to come with a triple-lens camera setup comprising a 48MP main shooter and 32MP front-facing camera. Under the hood, it is likely to pack a 4,500mAh battery and support 45W fast charging.
Separately, Note 10 Lite is also in the works
Separately, a report has claimed that a low-cost Note 10 Lite is also in the works and it'll offer the S Pen experience at a more affordable price. This handset will bear a model number SM-N770F and it'll come in Black and Red colors.
