Samsung is all set to launch the world's first 5G smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, on April 5. According to a fresh report, the phone will arrive at a starting price of KRW 1,390,000 (approximately Rs. 84,900) in South Korea. Up front, the Galaxy S10 5G sports an edge-to-edge display with an aluminum frame and an in-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. On the back, the glass body houses four cameras. In terms of optics, the Galaxy S10 5G offers quad rear camera setup comprising a 12MP (f/1.5-2.4) primary sensor, paired with a 16MP (f/2.2) ultra wide angle sensor, a 12 MP (f/2.4) telephoto sensor and a 3D sensor with an LED flash support. On the front, the phone sports a dual camera setup featuring a 10MP (f/1.9) sensor and a 3D sensor.

The Galaxy S10 5G will be powered by Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9820 chipset, paired with Mali-G76 GPU, 8GB RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it packs a 4,500mAh battery and runs Android Pie 9.0-based One UI. Further, the phone supports 25W fast charging via USB Type-C port, 15W wireless charging, and 9W reverse wireless charging.

In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy S10 5G comes with nano-SIMs, 4GVoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB 3.1 Type-C port. The phone offers all standard sensors including accelerometer, proximity, compass, and heart rate sensor.
Pricing and availability
As reported by ETNews, the Galaxy S10 5G will be launched in two variants- 256GB and 512GB. The 256GB model will be priced at KRW 1,390,000 (around Rs. 84,900) while the 512GB model will cost Rs. KRW 1,550,000 (around Rs. 94,700). The smartphone, set to launch on April 5 in South Korea, will go on sale on the launch date itself.
