    What's the story

    As the successor to 2016's Galaxy On8, Samsung has launched the updated Galaxy On8 in India.

    Priced at Rs. 16,990, the phone will be available starting August 6 via Flipkart and Samsung India e-store.

    The key highlights of the Galaxy On8 (2018) are its 6-inch Super AMOLED 'Infinity Display' and an AI-powered dual rear camera setup.

    Samsung Galaxy On8 (2018): At a glance

    Up front, the phone gets An edge-to-edge display with narrow side bezels and comparatively thick top and bottom bezels.

    On the rear, you get a vertically stacked dual camera setup with a fingerprint sensor sitting below it.

    The Galaxy On8 (2018) sports a 6-inch HD+ (720x1480 pixels) Super-AMOLED Infinity Display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

    It will be available in Black and Blue colors.

    The Galaxy On8 (2018) sports a dual rear-camera setup comprising a 16MP F/1.7 primary sensor and a 5MP f/1.9 secondary sensor with LED flash.

    The rear camera comes with AI-powered features such as Background Blur Shape, Portrait Backdrop, and a Portrait Dolly mode that lets you create GIFs using zoom effects.

    Up front, the phone gets a 16MP selfie shooter with an f/1.9 aperture.

    The Galaxy On8 (2018) is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB).

    It runs Android Oreo-based Samsung Experience UX and packs a 3,500mAh battery.

    In terms of connectivity options, the phone gets dual-SIM (Nano) support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
