Samsung to launch low-cost Note 10e as iPhone 11 rival
Samsung is hoping to repeat the success of its Galaxy S10e as it aims to launch a new low-cost model of its newest flagship, the Galaxy Note 10. According to reports, the South Korean tech giant is working on a cheaper Note 10 (model number SM-N770F) and the company might end up calling it Galaxy Note 10e. Here's all about it.
Understanding how model number SM-N770F refers to new Note 10e
Going by the naming convention that Samsung follows, we know that this handset is a new Note-series smartphone as the model numbers of all Note handsets start with SM-N. On the other hand, the 70F suggests that the handset is a new variant of the Galaxy Note 10, considering all the released Note 10 variants have their model numbers ending with 70F.
What do we know about Galaxy Note 10e? Almost nothing!
Unfortunately, not much is known about Note 10e at present. But if we were to make some educated guesses, the handset should retain the new center-aligned Infinity-O design that we saw on the Note 10 line-up. Under the hood, we expect to see lower memory and storage configuration (presumably, 6GB/128GB), paired with a slower processor and smaller battery than the premium Note 10 models.
A less impressive camera and the same S Pen
The S Pen is what makes the Note series stand out from other flagships in the market. Hence, it is unlikely that the cheaper Note 10 will miss out on the iconic stylus. And as is the trend with lower-cost flagship models, the Note 10e should get a less impressive camera setup than what is offered by the expensive Note 10 and Note 10+.
Can Note 10e beat Apple iPhone 11?
With the Note 10e, Samsung is aiming to mimic Galaxy S10e's success by offering flagship-grade performance at a comparatively low price. However, while the S10e didn't have a true competitor around its launch, the Note 10e will have to beat the popular iPhone 11. And to do that, Samsung will have to find the perfect mix of hardware and an attractive price tag.
Here's recalling Samsung Galaxy Note 10
To recall, Galaxy Note 10-series features a new design with a center-aligned punch-hole display, curved edges, and a polished glass back that offers an iridescent shimmer. Note 10 sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED screen. Further, it offers a triple camera system- a 12MP (f/1.5-2.4, OIS) main lens, a 16MP (f/2.2, 123-degree FoV) ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP (f/2.1, OIS) telephoto lens.
