Samsung Galaxy Note 10 v/s Note 10 Plus: The differences
Breaking away from its tradition of launching a single Note series flagship, Samsung recently unveiled two new super-sized stylus-equipped handsets as part of its Note 10 series. Both phones share the same design and features while differing in display size and resolution, rear camera systems, battery capacities, as well as memory and storage configurations. Here, we list down the differences between the two phones.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 v/s Note 10 Plus: Design
Right of the bat, you can spot two design differences. The Note Plus is evidently larger than the standard model and has a quad-lens rear camera setup in contrast to Note 10's triple-camera setup. Otherwise, both the phones sport a center-positioned punch-hole display with curved edges, a polished glass back, a redesigned unibody S Pen, and lack a headphone jack.
All about the screen
The Note 10 and Note 10 Plus not only differ in size but also in screen resolution. The standard model sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen (1080x2280 pixels) while the Note 10 Plus has a 6.8-inch QHD+ display (1440x3040 pixels)- the biggest display Samsung has ever put on its smartphone. Further, both screens offer HDR10+ support, Dynamic Tone Mapping, and integrated ultrasonic fingerprint sensors.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
Both the handsets come with a 12MP (f/1.5-2.4, OIS) main lens, a 16MP (f/2.2, 123-degree FoV) ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP (f/2.1, OIS) telephoto lens. On the Note 10 Plus, there is an additional DepthVision Camera for capturing 3D maps of objects and AR video. On the front, both the Note 10 models come with a single 10MP (f/2.2) selfie snapper.
Under the hood
Both the phones are powered by the latest 7nm Exynos 9825 chipset. However, the standard Note 10 gets 8GB RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage whereas the Plus model offers 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB of storage (expandable upto 1TB). Under the hood, the Note 10 Plus houses a 4,300mAh battery while the regular model packs a 3,500mAh battery. Both handsets also support wireless charging.
Pricing: The ultimate differentiator
In India, the standard Note 10 costs Rs. 69,999 for the solo 8GB/256GB model. The bigger and more powerful Note 10 Plus is priced at Rs. 79,999 for 12GB/256GB model while the price of the maxed-out 12GB/512GB variant is yet to be announced.
