Samsung Galaxy Note 10 to launch on August 7: Report
Samsung is gearing up to launch the next iteration of its phablet-sized flagship, the Galaxy Note 10. According to CNET, the company will unveil the phone at the annual Unpacked event scheduled for August 7 in New York. So far, rumors point towards two Note 10 models with different screen sizes, a new Infinity-O design, and a missing headphone jack. Here's our roundup.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10: At a glance
According to renders, the Note 10 will feature a symmetrical punch-hole design with a center-aligned cut-out, curved edges, and a metal-glass premium body. On the back, the Pro model will house a vertically-mounted quad-lens camera setup whereas the standard model will offer a triple sensor array. The renders also suggest that Samsung has dropped the idea of replacing all physical buttons with haptic sensors.
Galaxy Note 10 to come in two display sizes
According to recent leaks, the Galaxy Note 10 Pro will sport a 6.75-inch Infinity-O display whereas the standard model will get a smaller 6.3-inch screen. Both models will also feature a curved AMOLED display and in-screen ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor - much like the premium Galaxy S10 models. Notably, the renders also confirm that Samsung is finally killing the headphone jack on Note 10 series.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
Going by the renders, the Galaxy Note 10 Pro will offer a quad-lens rear camera and we expect the setup to comprise an ultrawide-angle lens, wide lens, telephoto lens, and a 3D time-of-flight depth sensor. On the other hand, the standard model is tipped to sport a similar setup but without the depth sensor. Lastly, both the models will offer a single selfie camera.
Under the hood
The Note 10 series will most certainly arrive with the flagship Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9820 processor, paired with upto 12GB of RAM and upto 1TB of embedded storage (possibly, UFS 3.0 format). Under the hood, the standard model is said to house a 3,400mAh battery whereas the top-end Pro variant is rumored to pack a 4,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
