Samsung Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+: At a glance
The Note 10-series features a new center-aligned punch-hole display with curved edges, and a polished glass back that catches the light to create an iridescent shimmer. The Plus model houses a vertically-mounted quad-lens camera setup whereas the standard variant offers a triple camera system. Further, both handsets also house a redesigned S Pen and are the first Samsung flagships to lack a headphone jack
All about the screen
While both phones share the same design features and built quality, the display is one of the differentiating factors between the two. The standard Note 10 sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED screen while the Note 10+ gets a bigger and sharper 6.8-inch QHD+ (1440x3040 pixels) display. Both screens also come with HDR10+ support, Dynamic Tone Mapping, and integrated ultrasonic fingerprint sensors.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
Both the Note 10 flagships offer a 12MP (f/1.5-2.4, OIS) main lens, a 16MP (f/2.2, 123-degeree FoV) ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP (f/2.1, OIS) telephoto lens. On the Note 10+, this triple-lens camera setup is joined by a DepthVision Camera for 3D details and AR video. On the front, both models sport a single 10MP (f/2.2) selfie snapper.
The new camera system comes with some cool new features
Samsung says it's introducing pro-grade movie technology on mobile via its Note 10 series. The flagship handsets now offer background-blurring Live Focus, improved video stabilization, and a new Zoom-in Mic feature which uses the phone's microphones to isolate and capture audio from the subject you're zooming in on. Samsung has also enhanced the native video editor and added scene detection for still images.
Under the hood
The Galaxy Note 10-series is powered by the latest 7nm Exynos 9825 chipset. The standard Note 10 comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage whereas the Plus variant packs 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB of storage (expandable upto 1TB). Under the hood, the Note 10+ has a 4,300mAh battery (supports 45W fast-charging) while the regular model gets a 3,500mAh battery (supports 25W fast-charging).
Samsung has also upgraded the S Pen
The Galaxy Note 10 duo comes with a re-designed, unibody, Bluetooth-enabled S Pen which can be used to jot down notes, trigger the camera shutter, or even advance PowerPoint slides. But with built-in accelerometer and gyroscope, the stylus also gets support for gesture controls. You can now wave it around to switch camera modes, Zoom in and out, control volume, and scroll through Gallery.
Samsung DeX for Windows, Mac control
Samsung has also upgraded DeX, a desktop interface that's powered by your Galaxy device. You can do your workflow on a larger display and still use your phone for texting, calling or simply anything. Moreover, all your phone apps will now show up in a more productive window wherein you can drag and drop files to and from it (Note 10 exclusive feature).
