Samsung Galaxy M40's specifications leaked ahead of June 11 launch
Samsung is all set to launch its much-awaited Galaxy M40 in India on June 11. And now, just days ahead of its formal launch, the complete specifications and price of the smartphone have been leaked online. The leaks suggest that the smartphone will feature an infinity-O display, triple rear cameras, mid-level internals, and Screen Sound technology. Here are the details.
Samsung Galaxy M40 to feature Screen Sound technology
Galaxy M40 will be Samsung's first smartphone to feature "Screen Sound" technology instead of the traditional earpiece. Notably, Screen Sound technology, which was originally called the Sound on Display (SoD) technology, uses phone's display for the audio vibrations.

Meanwhile, as per the official teaser, the Samsung Galaxy M40 will feature a punch-hole design with thin bottom bezel, while the matte-finished polycarbonate back will house a triple rear camera setup with LED-flash and a fingerprint sensor. Also, the leaks suggest that the smartphone will flaunt a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED infinity-O display with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels.
Samsung Galaxy M40 tipped to offer a 16MP selfie camera
As for cameras, the Samsung Galaxy M40 is expected to offer a vertically aligned triple camera setup comprising a 32MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 5MP sensor to capture depth information. Up front, the phone will sport a 16MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood
The Samsung Galaxy M40 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 675 chipset, paired with upto 6GB RAM and upto 128GB of storage. Under the hood, it will be backed by a 3,500mAh battery as against a 5,000mAh battery that was rumored earlier. Lastly, the smartphone is likely to run on Android Pie-based One UI out-of-the-box.
