Samsung launches two new Galaxy M Series smartphones in India
As an addition to its M series of smartphones, Samsung has launched the Galaxy M10s and Galaxy M30s in India. The handsets arrive as the upgraded versions of the already available Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M30 phones. Meanwhile, both the handsets will be up for grabs beginning September 29 via Amazon and Samsung.com. Here's our roundup.
First, here's a look at both the smartphones
Up front, the Galaxy M30s features an Infinity-U styled notch design and a thin bottom chin. On the rear, the matte-finished polycarbonate panel houses triple cameras and a physical fingerprint sensor. On the other hand, the Galaxy M10s sports an Infinity-V styled notch look with a noticeable bottom bezel. On the back, it features a dual camera module and a physical fingerprint scanner.
What about display?
Both the Galaxy M30s and M10 sport a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with different resolutions. The more premium M30s comes with a full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio, while the budget friendly M10s offers HD+ (720x1560 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Galaxy M30s houses a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/2.0) primary sensor, 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 5MP (f/2.2) depth sensor. The Galaxy M10s comes with dual rear cameras including a 13MP (f/1.9) primary sensor and a 5MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens. Up front, the M30s offers a 24MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper, while the M10s sports an 8MP (f/2.0) shooter.
Here's a look at the internals
Powering the Galaxy M30s is an Exynos 9611 octa-core processor, upto 6GB RAM, and upto 128GB storage. The Galaxy M10s, on the other hand, packs an Exynos 7884B chipset, paired with 3GB RAM, and 32GB storage. Under the hood, the M30s houses a massive 6,000mAh battery, while the M10s is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. Moreover, both the phones support 15W fast-charging technology.
Connectivity options and operating system
Both the Galaxy M30s and M10s offer all latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi (single band Wi-Fi on M10s), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Type-C port, and headphone jack. Lastly, these handsets run on Android Pie-based One UI.
Finally, what about pricing?
As far as pricing is concerned, the Galaxy M30s costs Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB/64GB model and Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant. On the other hand, the Galaxy M10s in solo 3GB/32GB configuration is priced at Rs. 8,999. Furthermore, both these handsets will be available for purchase starting September 29 via Amazon and Samsung.com.
