Samsung Galaxy M10 v/s Galaxy M20: The key differences
Samsung's newly launched Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones will go on sale in India starting February 5 via Amazon and Samsung India e-store. Both the phones look quite identical with their bezel-less Infinity-V displays and dual rear cameras. However, there are some key differences in terms of design and specifications of these phones. Here's a detailed comparison.
Galaxy M10 v/s M20: At a glance
As mentioned before, both the phones look pretty similar with the Infinity-V displays, dual rear cameras, and glass-like casing. However, M20 has a slightly narrower bottom bezel and sports a rear-mounted physical fingerprint scanner whereas M10 relies on face unlock feature only. Notably, M10 gets a single speaker on the back panel whereas M20 packs it in the bottom edge of the phone.
All about the screen
The M10 features a 6.2-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) Infinity-V display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 90% screen-to-body ratio. In comparison, the M20 sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Infinity-V display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a higher screen-to-body ratio than M10. Further, both the phones support Widevine L1 certification that allows streaming of HD content from Netflix and Amazon Prime among others.
For the shutterbugs
The Galaxy M10 sports a dual rear-camera setup comprising a 13MP (f/1.9) main sensor, paired with a 5MP ultra-wide angle sensor. Up front, the phone has a 5MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper with in-display flash. The Galaxy M20 has the same dual rear-camera setup seen on M10. However, it has a better front camera with an 8MP (f/2.0) sensor and in-display flash.

The Galaxy M10 is powered by an Exynos 7870 processor, paired with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 512GB). Under the hood, the Galaxy M20 debuts the all-new Exynos 7904 chipset, coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage (expandable up to 512GB).
Software, battery and connectivity options
The M10 packs a 3,400mAh battery whereas M20 is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery. Further, the M10 comes with a micro-USB charging port while the M20 offers a USB Type-C port with support for 15W fast charging. Lastly, both the phones run Android Oreo 8.1-based Samsung Experience 9.5 UX, support dual SIMs with dual VoLTE and come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Pricing details of Galaxy M10 and M20
The Samsung Galaxy M10 costs Rs. 7,990 for the 2GB/16GB variant and Rs. 8,990 for the 3GB/32GB model. The Galaxy M20 is priced at Rs. 10,990 for the 3GB/32GB variant and Rs. 12,990 for the 4GB/64GB model. Finally, both the phones will be available via Amazon and Samsung India e-store starting February 5.
