Samsung Galaxy J8 to go on sale from June 28
The Samsung Galaxy J8, which was launched last month, will go on sale starting June 28 in India. Priced at Rs. 18,990, the phone will be offered only in a single configuration of 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. The Galaxy J8 features a 6-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED 'Infinity display' with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. It supports dual-SIM (Nano) cards, runs Samsung Experience UI on top of Android 8.0 Oreo and packs a 3,500mAh battery.

On the rear, the Galaxy J8 sports a dual-camera setup comprising a 16-megapixel, f/1.7 primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. The rear camera offers Live Focus feature which allows you to adjust Bokeh effect after clicking a picture. Up front, the phone gets a 16-megapixel camera with an f/1.9 aperture, variable selfie flash, and supports facial recognition.

In its tweet, Samsung has mentioned a Background Blur Shape feature that allows you to adjust Bokeh effect in the pictures, while letting you have blurred objects (such as heart, butterfly, star) in the background.
Galaxy J8 lets you chat, while watching videos
The Galaxy J8 comes with 'Chat over Video' feature that lets you chat while watching videos without having to pause or re-size your video. The phone also gets Samsung Pay Mini, Samsung Mall and memory management features like delete duplicate images, and delete saved APK files. In terms of connectivity, you get 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
