Samsung has worked with Google to optimize Android for Fold
Notably, Samsung has worked closely with Google to optimize the Galaxy Fold and the Android ecosystem.
According to the company, Google has introduced changes in Android 10 "to offer improved resizable activity, multi-resume functionality and an updated Android Emulator to help support multiple-display type switching."
This makes it easier for developers to test how their apps would work on the new form factor.

Samsung has also collaborated with developers to help optimize apps
Further, Samsung said that "hundreds of apps have been optimized for the Galaxy Fold, including services from leading partners like Amazon Prime Video, App in the Air, Facebook, iHeartMedia, Microsoft, Spotify, Twitter, VSCO and more."
It's not clear as to what kind of optimizations have been introduced but we expect the apps to offer smoother switching, improved multitasking, and support the true aspect ratio.

Samsung Galaxy Fold will finally launch this month
To note, the launch of Fold was suspended in April after several reviewers reported display breaking issues on the $2,000 device. However, in July, the company said that it had fixed all the issues and was ready to re-launch it in September.
Now, the folding phone has gone on sale in South Korea and is set to arrive in other markets later this month.
