Samsung Galaxy A80, with rotating camera, to launch in June
As per the latest report by 91Mobiles, Samsung is all set to launch its Galaxy A80 in India on June 15. The South Korean tech giant will also hold preview events for the Galaxy A80 across different Indian cities on June 8 and 9. Notably, this is Samsung's first smartphone to feature a full-screen bezel-less design and rotating camera. Here's more.

According to SamMobiles, Samsung will host preview events to give a hands-on experience of the novel smartphone before its official launch. These events will be held across major Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Kolkata on June 8 and 9.

The Samsung Galaxy A80 offers a full-screen notch-less display with an in-screen fingerprint sensor, while the back houses a triple rear camera in a motorized pop-up rotating module. Further, the smartphone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels screen resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Samsung Galaxy A80 houses a rotating triple lens camera
The Samsung Galaxy A80 comes with a motorized triple lens rear camera comprising a 48MP (f/2.0) main lens, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 3D Time-of-flight sensor to capture depth details. Interestingly, this camera module flips up to serve as a front-facing camera, offering high-resolution selfies. Moreover, it is capable of recording 2160p videos at 30fps.
Under the hood
The Samsung Galaxy A80 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset, combined with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Further, the phone packs a 3,700mAh battery with 25W fast-charging support and runs Android Pie-based One UI. Lastly, it offers all standard sensors and connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port. However, it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
And, what about pricing?
As for pricing, the Samsung Galaxy A80 will start at Rs. 40,000 in India, while the top-end model can go upto Rs. 45,000. Further, it will be available in Angel Gold, Ghost White, and Phantom Black colors.
