Galaxy A60 to get in-display fingerprint sensor, 32MP selfie camera
In a bid to attract younger audience in the developing markets, Samsung is revamping its mid-range smartphones. Recently, the Galaxy A10, A30, and A50 went official while Galaxy A90 and A40 are in the pipeline. And now, full specifications of Galaxy A60 have been leaked, revealing a 32MP selfie camera, triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor, and mid-level internals. Here's everything we know.
Galaxy A60: At a glance
While we haven't gotten a first look at the Galaxy A60, the leaked specifications suggest it will look a lot like the Galaxy A50. Up front, it will feature a 6.7-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution. Further, it will feature 3D Glasstic body, triple rear cameras, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor - much like the Galaxy A50.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Galaxy A60, as per the leaked specs, will feature a triple rear camera setup comprising a 32MP main sensor, paired with a 5MP sensor and another 8MP sensor. Up front, the phone will offer a 32MP selfie snapper. Further, we can expect both cameras to offer several photo and video features such as Portrait Mode, Bokeh mode, and Slow-mo.
Under the hood
As per the leak, the Galaxy A60 will be powered by an "SM6150 chipset", which is probably an unannounced mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Further, the phone will come with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it will pack a 4,500mAh battery and will most certainly run Android Pie-based One UI.
Pricing and availability
Considering the Galaxy A50 starts in India at Rs. 19,990, we can expect the Galaxy A60 to be priced close to Rs. 24,000 (given its improved cameras and upgraded internals). Lastly, as of its availability, the leak reveals that Galaxy A60 will be launched on April 19. However, we don't know all the regions in which Samsung would bring this phone.
