Samsung releases One UI 3.1 update for Galaxy A51, A71
Samsung has reportedly started rolling out the latest Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update for its Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G smartphones in South Korea. The update brings features like a revamped UI, Private Share, background video calling, and more widgets on the lock screen. It also bumps up the Android security patch to March 2021.
Details about the update
The One UI 3.1 firmware for the Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G carries build number A516NKSU3CUC4 and A716SKSU3CUC4, respectively. It is currently seeding in South Korea but a global roll-out in expected to happen in the coming days.
Samsung Galaxy A51 and A71 offer a Full-HD+ screen
As far as their specifications are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G and A71 5G feature an aluminium-plastic body with a punch-hole design, slim bezels, and an in-display fingerprint reader. They sport a 6.5-inch and 6.7-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) Super AMOLED screen, respectively, with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The handsets are offered in three color options.
The duo has a 32MP selfie camera
The Samsung Galaxy A51 5G is equipped with a quad rear camera system, including a 48MP (f/2.0) primary sensor, a 12MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 5MP (f/2.4) macro camera, and a 5MP (f/2.2) depth shooter. The Galaxy A71 5G also has a similar setup but with a 64MP (f/1.8) main sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP (f/2.2) snapper.
The phones are backed by an Exynos 980 chipset
The Galaxy A51 5G and A71 5G draw power from an Exynos 980 processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Under the hood, they pack a 4,500mAh battery with support for 15W and 25W fast-charging, respectively. The devices support connectivity options like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
