Samsung Galaxy A50s, Galaxy A30s announced: Here's everything to know
Taking on Xiaomi and Realme in the mid-range segment, Samsung has announced its Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s smartphones. The new handsets arrive as the upgraded versions of already available Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A30 phones. As for the key highlights, they offer triple rear cameras, Super AMOLED display, notched design, and mid-level internals. Here's our roundup.
Let's take a look at both the smartphones
Up front, the Galaxy A50s sports an Infinity-U style notch, while the Galaxy A30s gets an Infinity-V notched design. On the rear, both handsets house a vertically stacked triple camera setup with LED flash and gradient design with geometric patterns. For secure unlocking, both the Galaxy phones get an under-display fingerprint scanner.
What about display?
Both the Galaxy A50s and the Galaxy A30s feature a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. However, the A50s comes with a full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) resolution, while the A30s gets HD+ (720×1560 pixels) resolution.
What's the camera like on Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s?
The Galaxy A50s houses triple cameras comprising a 48MP (f/2.0) main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor. On the other hand, Galaxy A30s gets a similar setup but with a 25MP (f/1.7) main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. Up front, the A50 houses a 32MP (f/20) selfie snapper, while the A30s sports a 16MP (f/2.0) front-facing shooter.
Under the hood
Both the Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s are powered by an unnamed octa-core processor, paired with upto 6GB RAM, and upto 128GB of internal storage (expandable upto 512GB). Under the hood, both phones run Android Pie and pack a 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support. Lastly, they pack all the latest connectivity options such as dual-SIMs (Nano), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C port.
And, what about pricing?
As of now, the company hasn't revealed the pricing of Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s. However, going by their mid-level specs, we expect the smartphones to be priced around Rs. 20,000 in India.
