Samsung Galaxy A50 to get triple camera, in-display fingerprint sensor
As yet another smartphone to launch under the "revamped" Galaxy A-series, Samsung is working on the Galaxy A50. According to Samsung-focused blog GalaxyClub, the phone might come with an in-display fingerprint sensor, triple rear-cameras, Infinity-O or Infinity-U display, and wireless charging support. Here's a look at Galaxy A50's possible specs.
Samsung Galaxy A50: At a glance
According to reports, the Galaxy A50 will get one of Samsung's new Infinity Display design "with a hole or notch" for the selfie camera. Hence, we can expect to see Galaxy A8s-like Infinity-O display or Infinity-V display that is likely to be introduced with the Galaxy M-series. Moreover, this model might also debut the Infinity-U design, but it is just a speculation.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Galaxy A50 is rumored to come with a triple rear-camera setup comprising a 24MP main sensor. Moreover, the primary sensor will come paired with a depth sensor and a super wide-angle lens - much like the three lens setup on Galaxy A7 (2018). Up front, the phone will certainly house a single selfie camera.
Under the hood
The leak suggests that Galaxy A50 will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 9610 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. However, Samsung might also launch a high-end model with 6GB or 8GB RAM. Further, A50 is rumored to run Android Pie-based One UI and pack a 4,000mAh battery with support for fast charging.
Galaxy A50 expected to launch in first half of 2019
GalaxyClub suggests that Samsung will launch the Galaxy A50 sometime in the first half of 2019. The blog adds that the phone will be announced only after the Korean tech giant unveils its Galaxy S10 flagship. Hence, given S10 lineup is expected to be launched in February, we can assume A50 to become official sometime in spring 2019.
