As part of its revamped Galaxy A-series, Samsung is expected to launch the A30 and A50 smartphones in India today. The company has already unveiled the devices and has even activated a landing page on its India website. And now, just ahead of the launch, a well-placed industry source has tipped us the prices of these upcoming Galaxy phones. Here's everything to know.
Samsung Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50: At a glance
As per the official renders and leaks, both phones feature Infinity U displays with sizeable bottom bezels as well as a glossy plastic back panel with 3D designs. Further, the Galaxy A30 offers dual rear cameras and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner whereas the more premium Galaxy A50 sports an in-screen fingerprint sensor and triple rear cameras.

The Galaxy A30 features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) sAMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core processor, paired with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage (expandable upto 512GB). Under the hood, the phone houses a 4,000mAh battery and is likely to run Android Pie-based One UI out of the box.
What's the camera like on Galaxy A30?
In the camera department, the Galaxy A30 features a dual rear camera setup comprising a 16MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Up front, the phone offers a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper.
Here's everything we know about Galaxy A50
The Galaxy A50 will have the same Infinity U display as the Galaxy A30. The phone will also run on an octa-core processor, coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage (expandable upto 512GB). However, India variant is tipped to come with 64GB storage only. Further, the Galaxy A50 will house a 4,000mAh battery and should run One UI - just like Galaxy A30.
Galaxy A50: For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Galaxy A50 comes with a triple rear camera setup featuring a 25MP (f/1.7) main sensor, paired with a 5MP (f/2.2) secondary sensor, and another 8MP (f/2.2) fixed-focus sensor. Up front, the phone sports a 25MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with fixed focus.
Samsung Galaxy A30 likely to start at Rs. 16,990
According to our source, Samsung Galaxy A30 will launch in India at a starting price of Rs. 16,990 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model. On the other hand, the Galaxy A50 will come at a starting price of around Rs. 19,900 and go up to Rs. 23,000 for the top-end 6GB RAM and 64GB storage model.
