Samsung Galaxy A33 5G launched in India at Rs. 28,500
Samsung has introduced a new mid-ranger in the Indian market, called the Galaxy A33 5G. The smartphone starts at Rs. 28,499 for the 6GB/128GB base variant. As for the key highlights, it has a 90Hz AMOLED display, a 48MP quad rear camera setup, an Exynos 1280 SoC, and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W charging.

Samsung is actively working on expanding its portfolio of mid-range 5G handsets. The newly introduced A33 5G is the successor to the A32 5G that was launched last year. With new A-series series smartphones such as the A33, A53, and A73, Samsung aims to take on growing competition from rivals such as Xiaomi, OPPO, and OnePlus.
The handset offers a 90Hz AMOLED display
The Galaxy A33 5G has a waterdrop notch design with slim bezels, a plastic body, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is available for purchase in four different color options. The handset features a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The device also gets Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the display.
It offers 4K recording at 30fps via primary rear camera
The Galaxy A33 5G comes with a quad rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 5MP (f/2.4) macro snapper, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. The handset also gets a single 13MP (f/2.2) front-facing camera. The rear snapper supports 4K recording at 30fps, while the front camera can record 1080p videos at 30fps.
The device is powered by an Exynos 1280 chipset
The Galaxy A33 5G is fueled by an Exynos 1280 processor and runs on Android 12 OS with One UI 4.1 on top. It ships with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast-charging. Connectivity options on the device include Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, NFC, and a Type-C port.

The Galaxy A33 5G has arrived in India in two variants. The 6GB/128GB model is priced at Rs. 28,499 while the 8GB/128GB option costs Rs. 29,999. The phone can be bought through Samsung India's online store and buyers can avail Rs. 1,500 discount on SBI credit card EMI transactions as well as ICICI Bank credit/debit cards transactions (full payment and EMI).
