Samsung Galaxy A31's support page goes live, launch imminent
South Korean tech giant Samsung is working to launch a new mid-budget handset, the Galaxy A31, in India. Now, a handset with model number 'SM-A315F/DS', which is reportedly the Galaxy A31, has been spotted on the company's support page, hinting at its imminent launch in the country. Here are more details.
How will it look like?
It is still unclear if the Galaxy A31 will retain the familiar waterdrop notched design that we have seen on the A30s and A30 models or get a different look. For reference, the Galaxy A30s features a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with an HD+ (720x1560 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and an under-display fingerprint sensor for secure biometric authentication.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Galaxy A31 will sport a triple-lens rear camera setup featuring a respectable 48MP main sensor. However, the details about the other lenses are unclear as of now. Up front, the handset is likely to house a 25MP selfie snapper for selfies and video calling.
Under the hood
Earlier, the Galaxy A31 was spotted on the benchmarking platform Geekbench. Going by the listing, it is likely to pack a MediaTek Helio P65 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, the phone will run on Android 10-based One UI 2.0 and pack a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
And, what about pricing?
There is no word on the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy A31 in India as of now. However, looking at the specifications, the handset is likely to cost around Rs. 15,000 in the country.
