Samsung announces "everyday premium use" laptops: Notebook 5, Notebook 3
Samsung has announced three new laptops: the Notebook 5 and two variants of the Notebook 3. All three models run Windows 10 Home. The laptops will launch in South Korea in April, followed by a global release in Q2 2018. There is no word on pricing yet but the new laptops will be mid-range for "everyday computing" and "casual gaming."
Notebook 5 features a 15.6-inch display
The Notebook 5 features a 15.6-inch full-HD LED anti-glare display, VGA front camera, 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GPU and DDR4 RAM. It is powered by a choice of 7th generation dual-core and 8th generation quad-core Intel Core processors. It has a battery capacity of 43Wh and comes in a Light Titan color option. There is no word on storage yet.
Notebook 3 comes in 14-inch, 15.6-inch display options
The Notebook 3 comes in 14-inch display and 15.6-inch display options. The 15.6-inch display is further available in two variants of 15.6-inch HD screen and 15.6-inch full-HD screen. The laptop is powered by Intel's 7th and 8th generation processors. It features DDR4 RAM and a battery capacity of 43Wh. It will be available in Misty Gray, Night Charcoal, Deep Peach, and Pure White colors.
The laptops have a full-sized keyboard with a number pad
Details on the new laptops are thin at the moment and should get clearer later in the month. Design-wise, Samsung has gone with a full-sized keyboard, complete with number pad. This makes them an ideal choice for someone who requires doing lengthy keyboard work.
