Apple's AirPods Pro charging case could look like this
The next-generation of Apple's wireless earphones, likely to be called AirPods Pro, have once again been leaked. The latest tip-off doesn't reveal anything major about the earphones, but it does highlight the enclosures of the upcoming AirPods, confirming the new design. Interestingly, previous reports had also suggested some of the features and the launch timeline of the AirPods Pro. Here's our roundup.
AirPods Pro to cost over $250, launch expected this month
According to a report, the AirPods Pro is likely to go official sometime by the end of October and will come at a price of around $260 (Rs. 18,500), making them more expensive than the incumbent model, which costs Rs. 14,900 with wireless charging case.
AirPods Pro to feature a metallic design with rubber grips
Further, according to new leaks and renders, the AirPods Pro "will adopt an in-ear design", similar to the existing models but with a slightly bigger body that should allow for a bigger battery. Moreover, the upcoming model will also feature a new metal design that should offer improved heat dissipation and interchangeable rubber tips that'll ensure a better fit as well as noise isolation.
New AirPods could also offer noise cancellation
Meanwhile, according to some code snippets found in iOS 13.2, the upcoming AirPods will feature new listening modes. One such new feature is the "focus mode" which could use active noise cancellation (ANC) to restrict ambient noise and help you "focus" on music, e-books or podcasts. ANC would also help improve call quality and overall music experience.
What else to expect from Apple AirPods Pro?
The AirPods Pro will also pack a new wireless chip that'll enable better connectivity as well as inbuilt voice activation for summoning Siri. Apart from the new design and features, we expect these earbuds to offer improved water-resistance, and refined sound drivers for better audio quality. Further, Apple will most certainly offer fast charging and wireless charging on the new AirPods.
