Reliance JioPhone 2 flash sale today: Everything to know
JioPhone 2, the latest feature phone from Reliance Jio, will be up for grabs today starting 12 pm via a flash sale on Jio.com. Priced at Rs. 2,999, the phone features a BlackBerry Curve-like design with QWERTY keypad, improved internals over the JioPhone and supports all the popular apps like YouTube, WhatsApp, and Facebook among others. Rs. 200 cashback being offered during the flash sale
The JioPhone 2 costs Rs. 2,999 and, incidentally, for this flash sale, customers will have to pay an extra Rs. 99 for delivery, bringing the total cost of the phone to Rs. 3,098. However, customers paying through their Paytm wallets will receive cashback of Rs. 200. Additionally, Reliance Jio has also added the cash on delivery (COD) option as a payment method this time.
JioPhone recharge plans
Reliance Jio is currently offering unlimited recharge packs of Rs. 49, Rs. 99 and Rs. 153 which offer 1GB, 14GB, and 42GB of 4G data for 28 days, respectively. Additionally, all these plans offer free voice calls, unlimited data (FUP-based), and access to Jio apps.
What specs the JioPhone 2 has to offer
JioPhone 2 sports a 2.4-inch QVGA horizontal display with a 0.3MP VGA camera up front and a 2MP snapper on the back. The phone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB). Notably, JioPhone 2 runs KaiOS which supports Google Assistant, YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp.

The JioPhone 2 packs a 2,000mAh battery and supports 22 Indian languages. In terms of connectivity options, the phone supports dual SIM cards (Nano), 4G VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, FM radio and can project content on any TV via Jio Media Cable (sold separately).
Popular apps offered and how to download them
WhatsApp's recent addition strengthened the catalog of popular apps offered on the JioPhone and the JioPhone 2. In December last year, Google launched Google Assistant for KaiOS, and Facebook followed in Google's footsteps to launch its KaiOS app in February this year. Google Maps was added in July, and YouTube came after that. Users can download these apps simply from the Jio app store.
