Redmi Note 9 series launched in India: Specs, price, sale
Expanding its portfolio of mid-range smartphones in India, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max models in the country today. The new handsets sport a punch-hole display, side-mounted fingerprint reader, a premium Gorilla Glass 5 body, quad rear camera setup, and mid-level internals including a Snapdragon 720G processor.
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max: Specs and features
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a 6.67-inch full-HD+ punch-hole display, splash-proof P2i coating, and NavIC support. The rear camera includes a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. It has a 32MP selfie snapper. It gets a Snapdragon 720G chipset, 6/8GB RAM, 64/128GB of storage, and 5,020mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support.
Redmi Note 9 Pro: At a glance
Like the Max model, the Redmi Note 9 Pro gets a 6.67-inch full-HD+ punch-hole screen, Snapdragon 720G processor, and a 5,020mAh battery. However, it comes with up to 6GB RAM, up to 128GB of storage, and 18W fast charging support. On the imaging front, it has the same quad-lens unit except for a 48MP main sensor. On the front, it has a 16MP camera.
How much do these phones cost?
The standard Redmi Note 9 Pro costs Rs. 12,999 for the entry-level 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, and Rs. 15,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max starts at Rs. 14,999 for the entry-level 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, Rs. 16,999 for the mid-end 6GB/128GB model, and Rs. 18,999 for the top-spec 8GB/128GB option.
When will the handsets go on sale?
The Redmi Note 9 Pro will go on sale in India on March 17 while the Max model will be available from March 25 onwards. The handsets will go on sale through Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and preferred offline retailers.
