Redmi Note 8 series to go on sale next week
Xiaomi's recently launched budget-friendly smartphones, the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro, are set to go on another flash sale in India next week. The standard Note 8 will go on sale starting 12 PM on November 5 via Amazon and Mi.com, while the Pro model will become available starting 12 PM on November 6, via the same channels. First, here's a look at the pricing of both models
As for the pocket pinch, the Redmi Note 8 Pro comes at a starting price of Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB/64GB variant and goes up to Rs. 17,999 for the top-tier 8GB/128GB model. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 8 is listed at Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB/64GB model and Rs. 12,999 for the maxed-out 6GB/128GB variant.
Meanwhile, here's recalling the Redmi Note 8 Pro, Note 8
As far as their specifications are concerned, these smartphones feature a waterdrop notched design with a thin bottom chin. On the rear, they get a gradient-finished glass panel that houses vertically stacked quad cameras and a fingerprint scanner. Further, the Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi Note 8 come with 6.53-inch and 6.39-inch LCD displays with full-HD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 protection, respectively.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Redmi Note 8 Pro and Note 8 house a quad rear camera comprising a 64MP (f/1.9) and 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensors, respectively. The main lenses are accompanied by an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP (f/2.4) macro camera, and 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Up front, the Pro model houses a 20MP selfie snapper, while the standard variant sports a 13MP shooter.
And, what about the processor and RAM?
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by MediaTek Helio G90T processor, paired with upto 8GB of RAM and upto 128GB of storage. On the other hand, the Note 8 packs a Snapdragon 665 chipset, coupled with upto 6GB RAM and upto 128GB storage. Furthermore, both the models offer all latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Type-C port, and headphone jack.
Battery and operating system
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 8 Pro packs a solid 4,500mAh battery, while the standard Note 8 comes with a smaller 4,000mAh battery. Both the smartphones also offer 18W fast-charging support, and run on Android Pie-based MIUI 10.
