Redmi Note 6 to launch in China on November 6
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its latest mid-range smartphone - Redmi Note 6 - in China on November 6. Reportedly, this is the rebranded version of Redmi Note 6 Pro which was launched in Thailand recently and is expected to arrive in India later this month. Notably, Redmi Note 6 Pro is the first-ever Xiaomi phone to pack four cameras. Here's our roundup.
Redmi Note 6 Pro: At a glance
Up front, the Redmi Note 6 Pro sports a notched display with a thick bottom chin to boast an 86% screen-to-body ratio. On the back, the phone looks identical to its predecessor with an iPhone X-like camera layout and a fingerprint sensor. Further, Redmi Note 6 Pro features a 6.26-inch full-HD+ (2280×1080p) LCD display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, and 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection.
Redmi Note 6 Pro: First Xiaomi phone to pack quad-cameras
On the back, the Redmi Note 6 Pro gets a 12MP+5MP dual camera setup - much like the Redmi Note 5 Pro. However, the main sensor has now been upgraded with larger 1.4-micron pixels, a wider f/1.9 aperture, and Dual-Pixel PDAF. Up front, the notch houses a dual camera setup comprising a 20-MP (f/2.0) primary sensor with 1.8-micron pixels and a 2-MP depth sensor.
Under the hood
The Redmi Note 6 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. Notably, in India, Xiaomi is expected to launch the 6GB RAM variant as well. Further, the phone packs a 4,000mAh battery and runs on Android Oreo-based MIUI (expectedly MIUI 10).
