Redmi Note 5 MIUI 9.5 update now available in India
Xiaomi has started rolling out the latest MIUI 9.5 Global stable build for its recently launched Redmi Note 5 smartphones in India. The Redmi Note 5 software update comes days after the Chinese smartphone manufacturer released its latest version of Android-based MIUI 9.5 to 33 smartphones. This update brings a host of new features, optimizations, and bug fixes to the Redmi Note 5.
How you can update to MIUI 9.5
This Android-based MIUI 9.5 update will roll out in the next few days, to the Redmi Note 5 smartphone via OTA. Alternatively, users can check for updates by going into - Settings > About phone > System updates. Users can also flash the ROM via recovery method (file size of 1.4GB) or via fastboot method (file size of 2GB).
What's new in the update?
As per the changelog, this update comes with several bug fixes, optimizations and new features including quick search options, revamped start page and optimized performances, option to resume interrupted transfers in the Mi Mover app without starting over. Also, there's a revamped start page, sound recording options for the screen recorder app, new format for floating notifications in landscape mode.

Redmi Note 5 sports a 5.99-inch 18:9 Full-HD display with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC with 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and 32GB or 64GB internal storage. It also packs a huge 4,000mAh battery. The dual-SIM device supports 4G VoLTE connectivity. The phone also has 3.5mm audio jack and a rear-facing fingerprint sensor.
