Redmi Note 5 Pro prices slashed, starts from Rs. 12,999
A day after reducing the price of Mi A2 by upto Rs. 4,500, Xiaomi has slashed the prices of Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. The popular mid-range phone has received a price cut of upto Rs. 4,000 and now starts at Rs. 12,999. This price drop comes as a permanent revision and is applicable across all sales channels. The Redmi Note 5 Pro 4GB RAM model is available for Rs. 12,999 (original MRP: Rs. 15,999) whereas the 6GB RAM variant is now retailing for Rs. 13,999 (original MRP: Rs. 17,999). As mentioned before, these new prices are effective now across sales platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, Mi.com and all offline stores in India.

To recall, Redmi Note 5 Pro features a unibody metal design that houses a 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor, coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB). Further, it runs Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 (MIUI 10 update now available), packs a 4,000mAh battery, and supports dual-SIM cards.

In terms of optics, the smartphone sports a dual-camera setup featuring a 12-MP (f/2.2) primary sensor and a 5-MP (f/2.0) secondary sensor. Up front, it has a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor along with a LED selfie-light module. Moreover, Android Oreo-based MIUI 10 update introduces AI-based Portrait mode and the ability to record 1080p videos at 60fps.

"Redmi Note 5 series has surpassed an incredible one crore units of sale since its launch which includes Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. This is as per IDC, November Smartphone Tracker 2018," said Xiaomi in a press announcement.
