Redmi Note 11 Pro series's India launch on March 9
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi Note 11 Pro series in India. In the latest development, the company has confirmed the line-up will make its India debut on March 9. The smartphone range consists of Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ 5G and will be available for purchase through Amazon India. To recall, the series made its global debut in January.
Why does this story matter?
The Redmi Note 11 Pro series was first introduced in China last year and was launched globally last month. Finally, the much-anticipated range of handsets will be arriving in India soon. The India-specific Pro series will feature a Note 11 Pro+ 5G like its Chinese counterpart. However, the Pro+ model will be similar to the Note 11 Pro 5G that is available globally.
The handsets sport a 120Hz AMOLED screen
The Redmi Note 11 Pro series features a punch-hole cut-out on the top-center, a noticeable bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, the Note 11 Pro has a quad camera unit, while the Note 11 Pro+ 5G sports a triple camera module. The handsets bear a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
They flaunt a 108MP main camera
Redmi Note 11 Pro+ sports a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 2MP macro lens. Note 11 Pro has a similar arrangement with an additional 2MP depth sensor. Up front, they sport a 16MP selfie snapper.
They pack a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast-charging capability
The Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ 5G are powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 and a Snapdragon 695 SoC, respectively, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. At the heart, they boot Android 11-based MIUI 13 and house a 5,000mAh battery with a 67W fast-charging support. They could support Android 12 in India.
