Redmi K50 Gaming Edition to come with JBL-tuned speakers
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its Redmi K50 series of handsets in China on February 16 (today). In the latest development, the company has confirmed the key specifications of the K50 Gaming Edition. The top-tier gaming handset will feature JBL-tuned speakers with Dolby Atmos support, 120W fast-charging technology, premium Sony IMX sensors, and an L-shaped charging cable to enable a smooth gaming experience.

The handset will feature a 120Hz display
Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will feature a punch-hole design, slim bezels, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it will sport a vertical camera unit. The handset may bear a 6.67-inch QHD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. It will be offered in Blue and Silver color options, with the latter being a Mercedes-AMG F1 version.
It will boast a 64MP main camera
The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will flaunt a triple rear camera arrangement, including a 64MP primary shooter, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Up front, it will sport a 16MP selfie snapper.
It will have 120W fast-charging support
The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will draw juice from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. At the heart, it will boot Android 12-based MIUI 13 and pack a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast-charging support. For connectivity, it should offer support for 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a Type-C port.
Redmi K50 Gaming Edition: Pricing and availability
The official pricing and availability details of the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will be announced at the time of its launch on February 16. However, going by a previous leak, it is expected to start at around CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 41,600).
