Redmi K40 could soon debut in India as Mi 11X
Xiaomi is expected to launch a new Mi 11X handset in India as a rebranded version of the Redmi K40, which was introduced in China last month. In the latest development, the handset has been spotted on the Indian IMEI database (via Mukul Sharma), hinting at an imminent launch. The Redmi K40 is also expected to arrive in the global markets as POCO F3.
Mi 11X will sport a Super AMOLED display
The Mi 11X will feature a punch-hole cut-out, a noticeable bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it will pack a triple camera unit. The handset will bear a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) Super AMOLED screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9, a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. It will be offered in Black, White, and Aurora color options.
The phone will offer a 20MP selfie camera
The Mi 11X will have a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, it will offer a 20MP front-facing snapper.
Under the hood, it will run on Android 11
The Mi 11X will draw power from a Snapdragon 870 chipset, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It will boot Android 11-based MIUI 12 and pack a 4,520mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the device will offer support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and a Type-C port.
Mi 11X: Pricing and availability
The pricing and availability details of the Mi 11X in India will be revealed at the time of launch, which will happen in the coming weeks. For reference, in China, Redmi K40 starts at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 22,300).
