Redmi K40, K40 Pro spotted on TENAA, key specifications leaked
What's the story
Redmi is gearing up to launch its K40 and K40 Pro models in China soon.
In the latest development, the handsets have been spotted on TENAA certification site, revealing that they will have a punch-hole display and a rectangular rear camera module.
Separately, another leak has claimed that the K40 and K40 Pro will come with a Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 888 chipset, respectively.

Redmi K40 and K40 Pro: At a glance
The Redmi K40 and K40 Pro will feature a center-aligned punch-hole display with slim bezels, curved edges, and an integrated fingerprint sensor. On the rear, they will house a quad camera setup.
The handsets will bear a 6.81-inch QHD+ (1440x3200 pixels) AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support - much like the Mi 11 model.
Cameras
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
Redmi K40 and K40 Pro will house a quad rear camera setup comprising a 108MP primary sensor, a 5MP secondary lens and a 2MP tertiary sensor. In terms of the fourth sensor, the former will have an 8MP camera, while the latter will offer a 13MP lens.
For selfies and video calling, the duo will have a 30MP front-facing camera.

Under the hood
The Redmi K40 and K40 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 888 processor, respectively. They will come loaded with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
The handsets will boot Android 11-based MIUI 12.5. The vanilla model will pack a 4,500mAh battery while the Pro will house a 5,000mAh battery.

Pricing and availability
Redmi has already confirmed that the K40 model will be launched on February 25. The K40 Pro, however, is expected to debut later. As for the pocket-pinch, Redmi GM Lu Weibing had earlier teased that K40 series will start at CYN 2,999 (roughly Rs. 34,000).
