Meet Redmi K30 Pro, Xiaomi's camera-centric flagship 5G phone
Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition smartphones in its home country. The key highlights of the handsets include their all-glass body, 64MP quad camera module, a pop-up selfie camera, 5G support, and flagship-grade internal hardware. Notably, both the phones are similar in terms of design and specifications, but the Zoom Edition gets a slightly better camera setup.
A look at both the phones
The Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition phones offer a notch-less and bezel-less screen, achieved by adopting a pop-up mechanism for the front camera. The smartphones come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) resolution, HDR10+ support, and 1200-nits of peak brightness. Furthermore, these phones house an in-display fingerprint reader for secure biometric authentication.
What's the camera like on Redmi K30 Pro?
The Redmi K30 Pro houses a 64MP+13MP+5MP+2MP quad rear camera setup with an LED flash. The K30 Pro Zoom Edition gets a similar setup but with an 8MP telephoto lens instead of a 5MP macro camera. Notably, the main sensor on these phones gets OIS support, and the setup supports 8K video recording at 30fps. Up front, both handsets house a 20MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood
The Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition are powered by a Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor, coupled with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. They run on Android 10-based MIUI 11 and pack a 4,700mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. Besides that, these handsets are touted to pack the largest vapor chamber liquid cooling system on any smartphone.
And, what about pricing?
