Redmi K30 goes official with 64MP triple camera, 5G connectivity
As an upgrade to the premium mid-ranger Redmi K20, Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K30 in its home country. The key highlights of the phone include its 120Hz display, 64MP main camera, dual-lens selfie snapper, and 5G support. Notably, the company is expected to introduce the LTE variant of the smartphone in India in the near future. Here's our roundup.
The handset features a dual punch-hole design, 120Hz display
The Redmi K30 features an edge-to-edge screen with a small display cut-out at the top right corner to accommodate a dual-lens front-facing camera unit - similar to Galaxy S10+. The smartphone comes with a 6.67-inch LCD display with a full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Further, it houses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for secure unlocking.
It offers 64MP quad rear cameras for shutterbugs
The Redmi K30 houses quad rear cameras including a 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, 8MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, 5MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and another 2MP (f/2.4) sensor to capture depth details. The main camera offers photography features like HDR, panorama, portrait mode, and supports 4K video recording. Up front, the pill-shaped cut-out houses a 20MP (f/2.2) main sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor.

The Redmi K30 is powered by a Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor which comes with a built-in modem for 5G connectivity. Under the hood, it runs Android 10-based MIUI 11 and packs a solid 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast-charging technology. As for memory options, the phone sports upto 12GB of RAM and upto 256GB of expandable storage.

The Redmi K30 5G starts at CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 20,140) for the entry-level 6GB/64GB model and goes upto CNY 2599 (approximately Rs. 26,189) for the top-end variant with 12GB/256GB configuration. The company has also introduced an LTE variant which costs CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs. 16,100) for the 6GB/64GB model and CNY 2,199 (approximately Rs. 22,100) for the top-of-the-line 8GB/256GB combination.
