Ahead of launch, Xiaomi teases Redmi K20's performance metrics
Xiaomi is working to introduce the Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 smartphones in India sometime around mid-July. And in the build-up to the launch event, the tech giant has revealed the performance metrics of Snapdragon 730 chipset that powers the Redmi K20. Interestingly, a couple of weeks back, Xiaomi had also teased the Pro model as the world's fastest smartphone.

The teaser takes a dig at other popular mid-range chipsets
The teaser highlights the AnTuTu performance score of Snapdragon 730 processor that powers the K20. The company claims that the new Snapdragon chipset is 40% faster than the Snapdragon 710 chipset, taking a dig at rivals such as Realme 3 Pro and Nokia 8.1. Further, as per the teaser, the octa-core Snapdragon 730 chipset received a score of 218,625 on performance benchmarking platform AnTuTu.

Meanwhile, Redmi K20 features the in-trend all-screen look achieved by adopting a pop-up selfie camera. On the back, the glass panel gets a gradient finish and houses a triple camera array. Further, the handset sports a 6.39-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Redmi K20 offers a triple-lens rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) main sensor, a 13MP (f/2.4) secondary sensor, and another 8MP (f/2.4) sensor. The main camera is capable of recording 4K video at upto 60fps. Up front, the phone offers a 20MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper which is housed in a motorized pop-up module.
Under the hood
The Redmi K20 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor, paired with upto 8GB of RAM and upto 256GB of internal storage. Under the hood, the phone houses a 4,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast-charging. Further, it also offers all the latest connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11a/c, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, and USB Type-C port.
Pricing and availability
In China, the Redmi K20 starts at CNY 1,999 (Rs. 20,200) and goes upto CNY 2,599 (approximately Rs. 26,200). However, details regarding the India pricing and availability will be announced at the launch event itself, which will be sometime next month.
