Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20 launching in India by mid-July
The all-new Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 will go official in India soon. Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain has announced that these "flagship killers" will arrive in the country in the next six weeks i.e. by mid-July. To recall, the Redmi K20-series was launched in China last week. Here's our roundup.
Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20: At a glance
Both Redmi K20 Pro and K20 share the same design featuring an all-screen look achieved by adopting a pop-up selfie camera. On the back, the glass panel gets a gradient finish and houses a triple camera array. Further, both models sport a 6.39-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
Both the Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 offer a triple-lens rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) main sensor, a 13MP (f/2.4) secondary sensor, and another 8MP (f/2.4) sensor. The main camera is capable of recording 4K video at upto 60fps. Up front, both the phones offer a 20MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper which is housed in a motorized pop-up module.
Under the hood
The Redmi K20 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset while the Redmi K20 gets a Snapdragon 730 processor. These phones offer upto 8GB of RAM and upto 256GB of storage. Under the hood, the Pro model packs a 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support whereas the standard K20 houses the same 4,000mAh battery but with 18W fast-charging support.
Pricing and availability
In China, the Redmi K20 Pro starts at CNY 2,499 (Rs. 25,200) for the 6GB/64GB variant and goes upto CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 30,200) for the top-end 8GB/256GB model. Likewise, the Redmi K20 starts at CNY 1,999 (Rs. 20,200) and goes upto CNY 2,599 (approximately Rs. 26,200).
