Here's how to pre-book Redmi K20 Pro, K20 in India
Xiaomi has announced a pre-launch "Alpha Sale" for its upcoming Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 smartphones on July 12. Under the sale, the company will allow you to reserve a Redmi K20 series handset against a token fee of Rs. 855. Notably, the Alpha Sale will go live at 12 pm via Flipkart and Mi.com. Here's everything you need to know about it.
A bit about the Redmi K20-series Alpha sale
The registrations for the Alpha sale will open on Friday, July 12 at 12 pm via Flipkart and Mi.com. For registrations, you will have to pay Rs. 855 and then you will receive a coupon code which can be redeemed to buy either a Redmi K20 or Redmi K20 Pro on July 17. Xiaomi has also assured a "very special surprise" for all participants.

Meanwhile, as far the specifications are concerned, both Redmi K20 Pro and K20 share the same design featuring an all-screen look achieved by adopting a pop-up selfie camera. On the rear side, the glass panel houses vertically stacked triple cameras. Further, they sport a 6.39-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
Both the Redmi K20 models offer a triple lens rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) main sensor, a 13MP (f/2.4) secondary sensor, and another 8MP (f/2.4) sensor. The main camera is capable of recording 4K video at upto 60fps. Up front, both handsets offer a 20MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper which is housed in a motorized pop-up module.
Under the hood
The Redmi K20 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset while the Redmi K20 gets a Snapdragon 730 processor. These phones offer upto 8GB of RAM and upto 256GB of storage. Under the hood, the Pro model packs a 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support whereas the standard K20 houses the same 4,000mAh battery but with 18W fast charging support.
Pricing and availability
The Redmi K20-series handsets will launch in India on July 17, and they will go on sale the same day via Flipkart and Mi.com. As for pricing, the Pro model is tipped to start at Rs. 24,999 for the base-end 6GB/64GB configuration and go upto Rs. 29,999 for the top-end 8GB/256GB variant. The standard Redmi K20 is said to arrive at under Rs. 20,000.
