Redmi K20 Series first sale in India today: Details here
Xiaomi's newly launched Redmi K20 and K20 Pro will go sale for the first time in India today via Flipkart and Mi online store, starting 12 pm. Notably, both the models share the same DNA, except the fact that the Pro model sports a Snapdragon 855 chipset and the standard variant features a Snapdragon 730 processor. In India, the K20-series starts at Rs. 21,999.
Firstly, here's how the Redmi K20 phones look like
Both Redmi K20 Pro and K20 share the same design featuring an all-screen look achieved by adopting a pop-up selfie camera. On the rear side, the glass panel houses vertically stacked triple cameras. Meanwhile, the Pro model also gets a double-sided heat dissipation structure. Further, both models sport a 6.39-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
Both the Redmi K20 models offer a triple-lens rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) main sensor, a 13MP (f/2.4) secondary sensor, and another 8MP (f/2.4) sensor. The main camera is capable of recording 4K video at upto 60fps. Up front, both handsets offer a 20MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper which is housed in a motorized pop-up module.
Under the hood
The Redmi K20 Pro is backed by the flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset while the standard K20 gets a mid-range Snapdragon 730 processor. These phones also come with upto 8GB RAM and upto 256GB of storage. Under the hood, both handsets pack a 4,000mAh battery but the Pro model supports 27W fast-charging support (in-the-box, you get 18W charger) and the standard K20 supports 18W charging.
What about pricing?
In India, the Redmi K20 Pro costs Rs. 27,999 for the base-end 6GB/128GB storage variant while the top-end model with 8GB/256GB configuration is priced at Rs. 30,999. On the other hand, the standard Redmi K20 starts at Rs. 21,999 for the entry-level 6GB/64GB storage variant and goes upto Rs. 23,999 for the 6GB/128GB storage model.
