Redmi 7A with 4,000mAh battery goes official in China
Expanding its portfolio of budget-range smartphones, Chinese tech-giant Xiaomi has launched Redmi 7A in its home country. The key highlights of the smartphone include its HD+ display, a solid 4,000mAh battery, a 13MP camera, and entry-level internals. Meanwhile, the company is expected to announce its pricing and availability details on May 28, alongside the Redmi K20's launch. Here's our roundup.
Redmi 7A: At a glance
Talking about looks, the Redmi 7A comes with a polycarbonate body and offers a notch-less display with prominent bezels on the front, while the back houses a single camera. Further, the phone features a 5.45-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is available in Blue and Matte Black colors.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
In terms of optics, the Redmi 7A houses a single 13MP primary camera with LED flash on the back. Up front, the phone sports a 5MP snapper for selfies along with Face Unlock support. Moreover, the rear camera offers features such as PDAF, AI beauty, Night Mode and AI portrait mode.
Under the hood
The Redmi 7A is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset. However, the company is yet to reveal the information about its RAM and onboard storage. Further, the phone packs a solid 4,000mAh battery with 10W fast-charging support and runs Android Pie based MIUI 10. It comes with all standard sensors and connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and micro-USB port.

Surprisingly, Xiaomi has not revealed the price of Redmi 7A at the moment. However, it is expected that the company will announce its price alongside Redmi K20's launch on May 28.
