Nokia 6.1 receives price cut, now available at Rs. 6,999
In a move to make its mid-ranger Nokia 6.1 aka Nokia 6 (2018) more affordable, HMD Global has reduced the price of the handset in India. The Android One-based phone, which was launched last year at Rs. 16,999, is now listed at a starting price of Rs. 6,999. However, the new price is currently reflecting on the Nokia India e-store only. Here's more.
Let's take a look at the new prices
With the latest price revision, the Nokia 6.1 now costs Rs. 6,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant and Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB/64GB model. Notably, the new prices are yet to reflect on online platforms like Amazon and Flipkart as well as authorized offline retailers. To recall, the phone had received a price cut of upto Rs. 2,000 earlier this year in January.

To recall, Nokia 6.1 features a conventional display with thick top and bottom bezels along with a premium-feeling Series 6000 Aluminum unibody design. On the rear, it offers a single camera and a fingerprint sensor. Further, the handset bears a 5.5-inch 16:9 full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) LCD display which is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 3.

In the camera department, Nokia 6.1 offers a ZEISS-made 16MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash. The primary camera supports upto 4K video recording at 30fps. Up front, it has an 8MP selfie snapper with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Nokia 6.1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable upto 256GB). Under the hood, it runs stock Android Pie and packs a 3,000mAh battery which supports 18W fast-charging. Lastly, it offers Nokia OZO audio technology and all the latest connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C port.
